Terms of Use

These terms apply when you charge an electric vehicle on the Totally Charged network or use the Totally Charged driver app. The service is operated by Totally Charged EV Limited, trading as Totally Charged, registered in England and Wales under company number 13493805, registered office 20 Main Road, Oldham, OL9 6LR.

Advertising bookings and site partnerships are covered by separate agreements.

You sign in with your email address using a one-tap link; there is no password. Keep access to your email account secure, because anyone with access to it can sign in as you.

You can update your details in the app and delete your account at any time from Profile. Deletion deactivates the account immediately and permanently erases it after 30 days, subject to records we must keep by law.

Prices are shown per kWh before you start a session. When you start a charge from the app we place a pre-authorisation hold on your payment card; when the session ends we capture only the cost of the energy you actually used and release the rest of the hold.

Some chargers also accept contactless payment at the unit itself; those payments are taken by the charger's payment terminal at the price displayed on it.

Receipts are sent to your account email after each completed session and are available in the app.

Charging bays are for vehicles that are actively charging. Follow any instructions displayed at the site, treat the equipment with care, and report damage or faults through in-app support, which is available 24 hours a day.

We may suspend or close accounts used fraudulently, abusively, or in breach of these terms.

We work to keep chargers online and show live availability in the app, but we do not guarantee that any particular charger will be available or operational at any given time. Live platform status is published at app.totally-charged.co.uk/status.

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability that cannot be limited or excluded by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence. Subject to that, we are not liable for losses that were not foreseeable when you used the service, losses not caused by our breach, or business losses.

We only send marketing email to people who have opted in, and every marketing email contains an unsubscribe link that takes effect immediately. Service emails about your charges (such as receipts) are part of the service and are sent regardless of marketing preference.

We may update these terms from time to time; material changes will be posted on this page. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. This version was published on 6 October 2026.
